An offline message can be caused by a simple connection issue or a stuck print job. These checks help isolate the cause without immediately removing drivers.

Check power and connection

Make sure the printer is awake, has paper and shows no error light. For Wi-Fi printers, confirm the printer and computer use the intended network. For USB printers, reseat the cable and try another port if available.

Confirm the selected printer

Open your app’s print dialog and verify that it is sending work to the correct printer, not a PDF writer or an old printer entry.

Clear a stuck queue

Open the print queue and cancel jobs that are clearly stuck. Restart the printer and computer if the queue does not clear. Download drivers only from the printer maker’s official support page.

Keep it safe: Never share passwords, payment details or one-time security codes with unexpected callers or pop-ups. When a step could affect important data, back up first and use official support resources.
